  • Permanent makeup, also known as semi-permanent makeup or cosmetic tattooing is form or micro-pigmentation that deposits pigment into the upper layers of the skin.  At Bl-inked PMU Clinic in Wickford, Essex, results typically last between 1 and 3 years depending on the treatment, your skin type, lifestyle and aftercare.  Treatments include powder brows, microblading, lip blush, eyeliner tattoo and more - all designed to give you effortlessly beautiful results that naturally fade over time.

  • Most clients are pleasantly surprised by how comfortable their permanent makeup treatments is.  We use high-quality topical numbing creams throughout your appointment to ensure you remain as comfortable as possible.  Most people describe the sensation as a light scratching or pressure.  Pain tolerance varies from person to person, but I will always work at your pace and ensure you feel completely at ease throughout your visit to my Wickford studio.

  • Prior to your permanent makeup appointment, we recommend avoiding for 24 hours beforehand, avoiding blood/thinning medications (such as aspirin) where medically safe to do so, and refraining from retinol-based skincare products in the area being treated for at least a week.  You should also avoid excessive sun exposure and sunbeds.  Full pre-care instructions will be sent to you upon booking so you arrive perfectly prepared for your treatment.

  • Most permanent makeup treatment require an initial session followed by a perfecting top-up appointment approximately 6-8 weeks later.  This allows us to assess how your skin has healed and make any necessary refinements to ensure your results are absolutely perfect.  Some clients with very oily skin or particular skin types may benefit from an additional session.  All of this will be discussed during your consultation at our Wickford studio.

Every new client at Bl-inked PMU Clinic begins with a thorough consultation- either in person or at our Wickford studio or via video call.  This gives us the opportunity to discuss your goals, review your medical history, assess your skin type and design a completely personalised treatment plan.  I believe a great result begins with communication and I never rush this process.
